Integrative Psychotherapy

Integrative Psychotherapy is a contemporary therapeutic approach that offers a holistic and personalised experience of therapy. By bringing together theories and techniques from different schools of psychotherapy, it focuses on the uniqueness of each individual and provides the flexibility needed to respond to their specific needs, experiences and therapeutic goals.
The strength of an integrative approach lies in the fact that it is not limited to a single psychological model. Instead, it draws on a range of therapeutic perspectives, including:
Psychodynamic Therapy: Explores deeper emotional patterns and the ways in which past experiences and unconscious processes may influence present thoughts, feelings and relationships.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Supports the identification and modification of unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour.
Humanistic and Person-Centred Approaches: Encourage self-awareness, personal growth, authenticity and a stronger relationship with oneself.
Attachment Theory: Helps us understand how early relationships may shape emotional needs, interpersonal patterns and the way we experience closeness, safety and connection.
Clinical Hypnotherapy: May be used, where appropriate and with informed consent, to support focused attention, relaxation, emotional regulation and therapeutic imagery as part of a wider treatment plan.
The therapeutic work may focus both on managing everyday challenges and on exploring more complex emotional and psychological difficulties.
Integrative psychotherapy may support people experiencing:
• Anxiety and panic
• Depression and low mood
• Relationship and attachment difficulties
• Difficulties with self-esteem and self-confidence
• Eating-related difficulties
• The emotional impact of traumatic or painful experiences
• Repeating emotional or behavioural patterns
• Personal development and greater self-understanding
The aim is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your internal resources and create meaningful, sustainable change.
Our goal
Our therapeutic framework offers a safe and supportive environment, where each client can feel understood and accepted, allowing for deep healing and change .

How we achieve our goal
Integrative psychotherapy begins with a detailed assessment of the client's needs, personality, and goals . From there, a treatment plan is created that may include:
-
Exploring Emotions and Unconscious Experiences - The psychodynamic approach helps to understand the causes behind emotional difficulties. The recognition of the connection of our past with the present and the understanding of why I act the way I do today through exploration in a safe environment.
-
Addressing Dysfunctional Thoughts and Behaviors - Through the cognitive-behavioral approach, thoughts and behaviors that cause psychological distress are identified and modified. This specific approach includes systematic self-observation, working with our thoughts, as well as tasks that we do at home, outside of the session.
-
Self-Awareness and Development of Coping Skills - Through the humanistic approach, the client strengthens their self-confidence and learns to manage life's challenges.
-
Relaxation and Reprocessing through Clinical Hypnotherapy - Hypnotherapy helps access the subconscious to address deeply rooted beliefs, anxieties and traumas. The integration of hypnotherapy into the synthetic model is done with the agreement of the therapist with the patient, it is an excellent auxiliary tool in cases of anxiety and specific phobias.
