My name is Danae Liambou and I am a mental health counselor and speech therapist. I completed my studies at the Department of Speech Therapy at the University of Ioannina and then continued my education at the MSc Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby , from where I graduated with distinction.

After many years of professional experience in the field of special education, in recent years I have been systematically active in the field of mental health. I conduct individual sessions with adults and adolescents, while also working with children and parents through parent counseling sessions, supporting families in issues related to emotional development, relationships and the challenges of everyday life.

In my work, I place particular emphasis on creating a safe, stable and confidential space, where each person can express themselves, understand themselves more deeply and develop new ways of managing their difficulties.

In my psychotherapy work, I follow the Integrative Psychotherapy approach , which combines elements from different therapeutic schools, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Attachment Theory. This approach allows me to adapt the therapeutic process to the specific needs of each person, combining different therapeutic attitudes and techniques with the aim of a meaningful and personalized therapeutic path.

At the same time, I have attended numerous trainings and specializations in the field of mental health and special education, while I continue to develop scientifically through continuous education.

I am currently studying in the Child Studies master's program at Linköping University in Sweden, delving into the study of child development and mental health.

I live and work in Ioannina, conducting online adult sessions, as well as parent counseling, in collaboration with the scientific team of the Hypnotherapy Clinic. This collaboration constitutes a particularly important and creative professional path for me, as it is based on shared values of scientific consistency, respect and essential care for people.
